May 12, 2012, the doors of the Chase Center on The Riverfront will open at
5:30 p.m. to welcome 600 guests in black tie to JDRF Delaware’s event of the year. The Hope Ball chair, Ms. Linda Rudnick, and her co-chairs, Ms. Stacy Adams and Mrs. Eugene DiPrinzio, will welcome elegant attendees while paparazzi captures their arrival on the red carpet.
After guests stop by the video booth for their interviews, they will partake in champagne offered by servers. The theme this year—Lights! Camera! Take Action!—is
an homage to the glory days of the silver screen. Guests will be dazzled by 14-foot projections of screen sirens of yesteryear like Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn and
Mingling will be a breeze with the use of BidPal, a handheld device that allows attendees to bid while sipping champagne and chatting with friends. The thrill of the event will be heightened as bidders are alerted to counter bids by the device. You won’t lose your auction item to another bidder while using BidPal! At 7 p.m. the guests will enter the ballroom to partake in a gourmet meal and fine wines during the program after which a live auction and Fund A Cure will highlight the night. The live auction includes items to dazzle the senses and peak the adrenalin like: taking part in an offshore race in a speed boat as a crew member, flying as a co-pilot in a fighter jet, dinner for eight at Talula’s Table with a limousine ride to deliver you there, Club level tickets to the Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw concert with a limousine for the evening, just to name a few. After an exciting live auction, the event switches gears to highlight Fund A Cure. Guests can raise their bid numbers to donate directly to research and research related education. The true meaning of philanthropy is revealed by this simple act. Fund A Cure is 100 percent tax deductible and is truly money well spent.
The evening comes to a final close with dancing to Club Phred until midnight. This is an event that cannot be missed!
